Moullinex △ GPU Panic’s prolific run of releases continues with ‘SO SICK’, featuring their very first guest collaborator, JOPLYN, who adds her distinct touch to a track that is set to be a touchstone of three artists who seemed destined to collaborate. Even before meeting in person, mutual admiration set the wheels in motion for ‘SO SICK’. The track was actually started in Tokyo, after which it eventually made its way to the DTX studios, before being finished between LA, Lisbon and Berlin. JOPLYN’S first visit to Lisbon is where, over the space of a couple of sessions, the vocals for ‘SO SICK’ were born, with Moullinex △ GPU Panic building a pulsating, roof raising, dance floor ready sonic foundation which was seemingly tailor made for JOPLYN’s simultaneously urgent and ethereal voice to take hold on.
