Best Youth are an Indie Pop duo from Porto, formed by Ed Rocha Gonçalves and Catarina Salinas. Formed after meeting on a beach in the South of Portugal, over one summer in their teens.
Their debut EP, ‘Winterlies’, and it’s lead single ‘Hang Out’, became an instant radio hit in Portugal. Soon after they started collaborating with Moullinex, releasing In The Shade together and participating in his third album, Hypersex.
2015 marked the release of their first LP, ‘Highway Moon’. The first three singles from the album ‘Red Diamond’, ‘Mirrorball’ and ‘Black Eyes’ reached number 1 at home with the album receiving glowing reviews internationally.
2017 began with the Eurosonic Festival where they were considered one of the ‘10 Acts To Watch’, and with the worldwide re-release of their debut album, while last year they released their most successful record to date in the form of ‘Cherry Domino’. First single, ‘Midnight Rain’, went to number one on Antena 3, with it’s second single ‘Nightfalls’, recorded and produced in NY by Patrick Wimberly (Beyonce, MGMT, Solange, Blood Orange), currently making waves the world over.
